Our founder, Suzanne Kind, started American Mobility Specialists with travelers in mind. Suzanne spent her young life exploring the United States with her friends. She loved camping and hiking in the forests of the Pacific Northwest the most.
On her 54th birthday, Suzanne was riding a mountain bike when she fell and fractured her hip. She spent over 1 year struggling through countless doctor’s appointments and therapy sessions. Since Suzanne lived alone she had to care for herself with no help. For many months she could not leave home and felt trapped and alone while her friends and family carried on their lives.
That’s when Suzanne decided to start the Mobility Revolution.
During those months of recovery, Suzanne met hundreds of immobilized Americans who felt just like her. Many of them could not move easily around their homes and had given up on the idea of exploring ever again. How could they dream to travel if they could not even get to their mailbox?
Suzanne started researching the best mobility solutions available for those elderly, disabled, and obese Americans who are not done fighting. She wanted to create a place where people could come to find the best mobility scooters, power wheelchairs, and lift chairs at the best prices - guaranteed. She created American Mobility Specialists to help her friends live unlimited.
